Video Roundup: Clips By Paramore, Avril Lavigne and Jack White
A trio of new videos hit the Web today: Paramore’s “The Only Exception,” Avril Lavigne’s contribution to the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack “Alice,” and the Jack White-directed clip for the Black Belles’ “What Can I Do?” What do they have in common? Not much. (And Jack’s Belles clip is somehow darker than Lavigne’s “Alice.”) Check all three out and name the most artistically dazzling in the comments.

The Black Belles seem to be a talented band with great potential, but judging by this song, they seem to be a White Stripes knockoff. I don’t mean that in a condescending manner, but this is a version of “Seven Nation Army”, or basically any WS song. I hope Jack White didn’t sign this band solely as a marketing gimmick. I hope they grow and eventually find their own sound so they can’t be a poor man’s version of anything.
