‘It’s really where I am in my life right now,’ Drake says of song he’s previewing on tour.

Fans of Drake’s are going to be treated to a preview of yet another track off of his Thank Me Later LP, dropping June 15, when they go to his Away From Home Tour this spring. The 23-year-old is performing the first verse of the much-anticipated new song “Fireworks” at his concerts.

Before his show at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania on Monday night, Drizzy explained to MTV News why he was letting the crowd sample the song. “The song itself is the first song on the album; I think it’s the biggest indicator of what the album is gonna be like,” he said. “That’s why I picked that song to go first, and that’s why I wrote the first verse like that. It’s really where I am in my life right now. I know they’re looking forward to the album, so I want them to get a feel of how the story starts off.”

“Fireworks” starts with the actual sound of fireworks in the background. From there, Drizzy begins talking about his life, joking that his 15 minutes of fame started about an hour ago.

“It truly is a story,” he added of the album. “At no point in the album does it fall off and become about some songs I slapped together. It’s all a story from beginning to end. Just like So Far Gone was. It’s that time.”

The Away From Home Tour — certain stops of which are eco-friendly Campus Consciousnessdates — runs through the end of May. Support acts are K-os and Frances and the Lights.

Times are tough in the entertainment biz. Network TV viewership continues to fall, job cuts are a fact of life, and latte budgets are reportedly being slashed in executive suites all over Hollywood. Enter 16-year-old pop throb Justin Bieber, who swooped in to purchase the sketch comedy Web site Funny or Die on Thursday (April 1).

“The timing just seemed right for ‘Bieber or Die,’ ” Bieber said in a statement about the newly renamed site. “No one really cares for ‘funny’ anymore anyway. I mean, try to define funny and then try to define Bieber, and you will understand completely.”

Except not all. It was an inspired April Fools’ Day prank that had FOD and Bieber conspiring to rebrand the site and produce a series of sketches in which he faced off against an O-faced kitty cat, took a nasty spill while singing “Baby” and proudly declared, “Sometimes I don’t feel like walking, so I make enormous people carry me around. … Let’s go get a lollipop!”

Still sticking very much to the Bieber or Die script, Lauren Palmigiano, one of the site’s writer/producers, called up MTV News to tell us about shooting the videos and what office life is like under the reign of the Biebs.

MTV: How did this whole thing come together?

Lauren Palmigiano: Justin just wanted to run the world. He came to us and wanted to buy a Web site, and we realized that comedy can only get us so far. And videos with Justin Bieber will take us to the level we’re trying to get to.

MTV: How long did it take you guys to shoot all the videos?

Palmigiano: The production staff for Funny or Die spent the day with Justin on Tuesday, and we just followed him around. He’s a really busy guy, and he had a ton of things going on and we shot the videos in a total of about an hour over the whole day. He squeezed us into a day where he had meetings, interviews; he did a surprise appearance with Ludacris. We just hung out and waited for whenever he had five or 10 minutes and pulled him aside and shot the videos as quickly as possible.

MTV: Tell us about the creative process? Did you just pitch him ideas? Did he throw any out to you?

Palmigiano: Little bit of both. We had some ideas of things we wanted to get with him, and once we were with him, he had some ideas of videos he wanted to shoot as well. “Bieber After the Dentist” was his idea. “Bieber Takes a Tumble” was his idea. He really had fun with the “Bieber Takes Over” video.

MTV: So you’ve lived out the dream of millions of middle school girls. What was it like spending the day with Justin Bieber?

Palmigiano: He’s a really fun, cool guy who’s fun to work with — and just a talented kid. He’s very busy. At the core of it all, he’s just a regular kid who’s living his dream. We hoped for him to be cool, and he’s been cool, since he’s our new boss. He took over Will Ferrell’s office upstairs. His posse’s hanging out. Everyone on staff is required to wear high tops at this point. He’s running it, and we couldn’t be happier.

MTV: Aziz Ansari did an FOD video poking fun at Bieber not too long ago. Did that ever come up when Bieber was shooting his videos?

Palmigiano: We did talk about it. When we arrived to start the day, we had the actor that played Justin Bieber in [Aziz's] re-enactment with us. There was a little bit of tension there. We were worried because Justin’s going to be our new boss, we helped Aziz make that video — are we going to have a problem? Justin was really diplomatic about it. Just a couple lashes, and it was a thing of the past.

MTV: Not to get too much into the contract details, but what did Bieber pay for FOD? Did he pay in Monopoly money or candy corn?

Palmigiano: I don’t think I’m at liberty to say exactly, but I will say it’s all in sweets and bubblegum.

MTV: What’s Bieber like as a boss?

Palmigiano: It’s like being in the movie “Big.” There’s toys everywhere and music playing constantly. He’s singing while walking down the hallways. It’s a really upbeat, positive environment. Most of us are in our 30s, so I don’t know how long we can keep up this pace. We’re doing our best.

MTV: Now that Bieber’s in charge, are we going to see more of his videos on the site?

Palmigiano: Absolutely. We have some ideas that we’re working on. This will not be the last of the Justin Bieber videos. Bieber is just getting started.

Disney has just debuted another new theatrical trailer for Pixar’s Toy Story 3 today on MySpace. We’ve seen a teaser and a full trailer for this before, but it’s always great to see new trailers, especially those with a lot of new footage for exciting upcoming Pixar movies. This trailer was released in conjunction with a new photo as well that features 14 new characters that will be seen in Toy Story 3. Anyway, it looks like there’s a LOT more to the story that we didn’t know – a wooden bridge over a canyon and a train and explosion? What is going on? Ah I’m so very excited to see this movie – can’t wait till June. Check out the new trailer below!

Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are all dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, departs for college. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, and John Ratzenberger will all be back.

Toy Story 3 is being directed by Lee Unkrich, another one of Pixar’s creative masterminds who previously co-directed Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., and Finding Nemo. The screenplay was written by Michael Arndt, the Oscar winning screenwriter of Little Miss Sunshine who is a newcomer to the Pixar family. Disney will be bringing Pixar’s Toy Story 3 to theaters everywhere in digital 3D starting on June 18th this summer.

On Sunday, the Who became the latest in a growing list of classic rockers — along with the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Prince — to play a Super Bowl halftime. Why did they do it, what was it like being onstage at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, and why a hits medley? For the answers, we went directly to the Who’s Pete Townshend the day after the performance. What was your first reaction to being invited to play the Super Bowl?
I really wanted to do it. I felt it would be easy to do [chuckles]. I felt that doing this would be a great thing to do at this particular time because it would let people know that we’re alive and kicking and that Roger and I still do stuff together and intend to do whatever we can in the future together. You feel part of something that’s bigger than you and you feel part of a huge team. It’s a monster gig.

How did it feel being onstage, in the midst of that spectacle?
A couple of people said to me they could have done with more Who and less football. But I suppose it’s best if I tell the truth. I felt nothing. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a great big football stadium or a little club somewhere. As soon as I get close to a stage, I feel very at home and very safe and secure. It feels completely normal. When the NFL started to talk to us about this, one of the things they started to talk about was the numbers. I looked at Roger and looked at them and I said, “I’ve done a solo show in front of 80 million people on TV.” The abstract numbers make no difference.

I heard that Roger and Simon Townshend [Pete's brother and guitarist in the Who touring band] came up with the medley, not you.
That’s right. I thought we’d just do the CSI songs ["Won't Get Fooled Again," "Baba O'Riley," "Who Are You"]. My pitch was just to do three regular-length songs. We could fall back on what was very familiar. But Roger felt he needed something that gave him more narrative scope, as he described it. He and Simon and one of the lieutenants in the crew put together a track and surprisingly I thought it worked really well. Roger and I have a great relationship these days; it’s very warm and close. So I trusted him to do that job.

Were you wearing sunglasses up there?
No, I was wearing reading glasses. I like to be able to see the guitar.

What was it like finally experiencing an American football game?
English people still find the rules almost incomprehensible, like Americans finding cricket incomprehensible. It’s very difficult to understand how the game operates. But it’s a real sporting event and very exciting backstage and very dignified and serious. Some of my friends have been quite sniffy and said, “We watched it and it was like fucking Disneyland.” But when you’re on the inside of it, there’s a real sense of it being a job, a passion. I learned a lot about it yesterday, and it was all good.

What was the most surprising thing about it?
Not seeing a single cheerleader. Not anywhere. It was terrible. There are lot of girls who’ve said, “I used to be a cheerleader once.” But as hard as you try to persuade them, they won’t do it again.

A few weeks ago it was confirmed that Flight of the Conchords co-creator James Bobin would be directing the Jason Segel-written Muppets (revival) movie for Disney. Originally we heard that the title was supposed to be The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made!, but now according to a script review up on The Playlist, the title will now be The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time. Seems like they’re really going all out on this one, almost like this is going to be the last Muppets movie we ever see. To save everyone from learning too much about the story, I’ve pulled out the most important parts below, so it’s a only a simple plot synopsis.

Here’s their spoiler-free explanation of what The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time is (supposedly) about.

“[It's] about Gary, Mary, and Walter (a man, his girlfriend, and the man’s life-long nondescript, brown puppet best friend) getting the old Muppet gang — now retired entertainers known for the same Muppet show we know them from — together to save the TV studio that the original show was shot in. A villain, Tex Richman, bent on drilling for oil underneath the studio, is due to take over the studio in weeks and the only way to stop him? Putting on a show that draws ten million viewers.”

From that “synopsis” it sounds like it’s almost going to be self-referential. The reviewer goes on to say that “it’s a solid attempt at recapturing what made ‘The Muppet Show’ and the first two Muppet movies so great, but The Great Muppet Movie of All Time is no Great Muppet Caper… Stoller and Segel have fun with the characters, are aware of what made the Muppet early years so great (winks to the audience, friendly musical numbers), and hit the mark 65% of the time.” That’s it, only 65%? I’m not the biggest Muppets fan so I can’t say I’m excited yet, but it does sound like a fun story. I have enough faith in Nick Stoller and Jason Segel to make this an awesome movie no matter what people say about their script. Sound good?
