Little word of advice. Do NOT pay special attention to the way Eric Turner sings in this song. In particular, try really hard NOT to focus on the way he breathes. The way he gasps and gags in between every line – particular after “seasons come and go” – could, to some ears, be considered monumentally distracting. And once you’ve spotted it, it could possibly ruin your enjoyment of the song as a whole.

Not that there’s anything wrong with his singy bits, I might add. That epic, power-ballad howl acts as an angelic counterpoint to Tinie’s grubby snicker. Eric is all heart and brain and lofty ambitions about fate and destiny, while Tinie is all groin and lizard-throat and funny-bone and elbow-in-the-ribs, and sharp tongue.

Between them, they make a perfectly-rounded and human whole.

There’s a perfect pop moment in this song. One of those immaculate experiences which never grows tired and always packs the same punch, and unusually, it’s to do with the video. Normally I’d be adamant that songs which only work with the video alongside are flawed in some way, but there’s something brilliant about the way Tinie delivers the line “I only make hits like I work with a racquet and bat” and then mimes hitting a home run, while dipping one knee.

I have, in all seriousness, rewound that bit several hundred times. So I KNOW that it doesn’t ever get old.

AND it goes some way towards illustrating why Tinie Tempah is barnstoming his way towards a third Top 3 hit, or higher. By which I mean it is a daft thing to say, but a funny thing to say, and if it DOES top the charts on Sunday, also a true thing to say. So he’s not just bragging, he’s bragging in an engaging, charming fashion, about something which happens to be factually accurate.

Which is all you can really ask from a pop song.

Well that, plus the sound of a blue whale emptying his blow-hole in between each line of the chorus.

You didn’t think we were going to have a vampire-less 2010 MTV Movie Awards, did you? That there’d be no werewolf sniffing out the Golden Popcorn? No beautiful high school girl from Forks, Washington, smiling shyly at the crowd?

Like we’d do that to you! “Twilight”-verse, prepare, because Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be appearing live and in-house at the Movie Awards on Sunday, June 6, to introduce an exclusive clip from “Eclipse.”

Just let that soak in for a minute, OK? Because there’s more. “Twilight” franchise co-star Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley) will be MTV International’s official red-carpet correspondent, reporting live from the scene outside the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, where some of Hollywood’s biggest names will be stopping by to chat.

This marks the third year in a row that the Movie Awards are bringing you fresh “Twilight” footage. In 2008, the MTV News preshow brought you the first sneak peek at a scene from the original vampire flick. The next year, we premiered an exclusive expanded trailer for “New Moon.” And come June 6, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner will be bringing you a never-before-seen clip from “Eclipse,” which hits theaters on June 30.

It’ll be a big evening for the “Twilight” kids. “New Moon” is up for five nominations: Best Movie, Best Female Performance (Stewart), Best Male Performance (Pattinson and Lautner), Best Kiss (Stewart and Pattinson) and Global Superstar (Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner). Fan voting in all of these categories is now under way at MovieAwards.MTV.com and will stay open through Saturday, June 5. But voting for Best Movie will stay open throughout the awards show itself, which means you’ll have a chance to affect the night’s biggest prize until the very last minute.

Hosted by Aziz Ansari, the Movie Awards air live on Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET. Christina Aguilera is to perform a song from new album Bionic, while Katy Perry will take the stage for a rendition of her summer anthem, “California Gurls.” Confirmed presenters include Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Zac Efron, Jonah Hill, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove, Shaun White, Vanessa Hudgens, Sean “Diddy” Combs, the cast of “The Grown Ups” (Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider), Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Aubrey Plaza.

‘It’s almost like you live in two different worlds,’ Taylor Lautner says of balancing real life with celebrity.

Among the hot topics when the “Eclipse” cast stopped by “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Thursday (May 13) was Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s rumored romance, Taylor Lautner’s love life and Pattinson’s onetime desire to be a rapper. The trio also dished on their overwhelming fame.

“This means a lot to you guys, and it’s the same deal for me,” Stewart told the Twilighter-filled audience. “I understand that your words have weight, and I mince them when I know everybody’s waiting for them. … Most people’s favorite book is not a part of their lives. It’s never going to happen again.”

“We’ve been sort of central to the whole thing since the beginning,” Pattinson added. “It started, really, when no one knew anything about it. I still, to this day, can’t really connect to the craziness, and it’s a great position to be in. You walk in a room and everybody’s screaming, and it’s not really about you, so it never really goes to your head. You can kind of participate in it.”

Regarding his position on the Time 100 Most Influential People list, he joked, “It’s completely ridiculous. A few years ago, I wouldn’t be able to influence my dog to walk!”

The “Eclipse” crew let loose on the show, especially when Lautner was talking about bulking up to play Jacob. “I basically ate a lot, as much as I could,” he said. “If I was busy or if I was on set or I was in L.A. in meetings, I would have to carry around this little miniature cooler. I would carry around, like, beef patties. … It’s so weird,” he laughed. “I’ll be, like, talking to somebody, and all of a sudden, I’ll just be like: ‘Can you hold on one second? I’ve got to eat a beef patty.’ ”

When co-star Dakota Fanning stopped by, she revealed what girls in her little sister’s school are up to these days. “My sister is 12, and she and her best friend are obsessed with everything ['Twilight'],” Dakota said of fellow actress Elle. “They have the cutouts of Rob and Taylor. They’re actually making a robot at school, and they named it ‘Rob-ot Pattinson.’ ”

The cast knows how much the films mean to the fans, and they said they are still trying to figure out how to balance their real lives with fame. “It’s almost like you live in two different worlds,” Lautner said. “You go into that world, and then you completely vanish, and you go back to your regular life.”

‘Everywhere I go, there’s just mass amounts of people,’ the Situation tells Interview magazine.

John Lennon famously declared in 1966 that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. Almost half a century later, a star of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” has a feeling he and his reality-show buddies are giving the Fab Four a run for their money.

“Oh, man, it’s just unbelievable,” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino told Interview magazine in the new issue. “Everywhere I go, there’s just mass amounts of people. There’s people showing up at airports, wanting autographs, girls, it’s insane. It’s like the Beatles, man.”

The world’s in love with the “Shore” kids, so it seems, and they feel fine. Girls apparently have fainted when they met the Situation. Girls who encounter Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, the star declared, often start shaking and crying. And then there’s Vinny Guadagnino.

“I have girls who come to my house and knock on my door,” he said. “I have girls who call me at 4 in the morning. I have girls who make pages for me on Facebook, VinnyGsFutureWife on Twitter.”

Along with the girls, they have celeb fans too, including, according to the “Shore” guys, Lindsay Lohan, Ashton Kutcher, Diddy, Denzel Washington and Leonardo DiCaprio. According to Vinny, Leo once told him, “I can tell you’re a good Italian kid, from a good family.”

While they’ve gathered in Miami this week to begin shooting the second season of “Jersey Shore” — which premieres Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV — the crew is also looking toward the future and where their newfound fame might take them. The Situation is looking to break into movies after he “conquer[s] reality.” Ronnie wants to get out of reality shows before he morphs into a gelled-up version of Screech from “Saved by the Bell.” He’s looking toward a career in modeling or acting. Vinny? The kid loves to rap and wants to lay down a track that is “clubby and catchy,” although if a music career doesn’t work out, he’ll fall back on his political-science career. Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, too, is looking at sticking in the music biz.

“I want to become a famous DJ,” he said. “DJ AM passed away, so I want to become that — a huge DJ.”
