‘Eclipse’ Star Nikki Reed Says RPattz Has ‘Best Heart’ In New ‘Bookazine’

With “Eclipse” more than a month from hitting theaters, Twilighters have been clamoring for clues about what to expect from the third installment in the vampire saga. While those details may be scarce, a new “bookazine” from the editors of Us Weekly promises some behind-the-scenes scoop guaranteed to please Twi-Hards.

In “The Sexy Stars of Twilight: Eclipse,” on newsstands May 28, some of the “Eclipse” castmembers opened up about what it was like on the movie’s set. The special issue also includes tons of pictures and posters, as well as factoids about the cast and the production.

For instance, cast newcomer Bryce Dallas Howard, who takes over as vampire Victoria, admitted she was initially concerned about joining the already close-knit cast, but found them incredibly welcoming.

“It was something I deeply considered and discussed with many people, because it is a very big deal,” Howard says in the book. To her relief, she discovered “Rob [Pattinson] and Taylor [Lautner] are such great guys. I love those boys! And Kristen [Stewart] was like, ‘Where’s your baby? I want to meet him.’ ”

But rather than KStew, it seems Nikki Reed turned out to be the on-set babysitter. “She’s like a second mom!” Howard remarks. “The other day [my baby] said, ‘I miss Nikki.’ I was like, ‘Honey, I miss Nikki too!’ ”

“We’re such a close family,” Kellan Lutz added.

Reed also dished about what it’s really like to chill with her co-stars.

“OK, P-Fatch [Peter Facinelli] is definitely the jokester and prankster. And he’s very much a father figure — safe and comforting,” Reed said. “Jackson [Rathbone] is the most artsy, creative and, I think, the most talented. Liz Reaser is the most well-read. Kellan and Ashley are very similar: They’re both very driven people, and they both like to go out a lot. A lot of the partying happens around them. [Pattinson] has the best heart.”

Muse – ‘Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)’

If you’ll forgive (yet) another gross oversimplification of the way things are, the job of every songwriter is to create an alternative world for their audience to visit. This is what people need music for. They can visit it wholeheartedly, as an escape, while shutting their eyes to hide any clue that they currently already reside in a perfectly functioning plane of reality, or they can try and lay it over the top of their daily life, so reality acts as a kind of facial background to music’s drawn-on-moustache.

There is also some difference as to what kind of moustache the songwriter wishes to draw. Some try and keep things as close to the real world as possible, carefully detailing each hair and follicle, so that the only difference between the two planes of existence is the moustache itself. Others draw on a cartoon moustache, specs, a false nose and then change the colour of the sky.

Muse, it’s fair to say, would also add chrome antlers and some scaly green bloodshotting to the eyes.

What’s fascinating about this song is that it sees Muse turning their reality-altering Preposteriser Ray on their own back catalogue. Taking (only) slightly less melodramatic love songs – LOVE SONGS FROM THE END OF INFINITY SQUARED, lest we forget – like ‘Invincible’ and even parts of ‘Plug In Baby’ (similar melody in the chorus) and making them bigger, broader, more overwhelming, if such a thing is even possible.

And the way they’ve done this is to wholly embrace the music of Queen, and West End musicals, as if this is what they meant to sound like all alone. They’re We Will Rock You, only with scruffier haircuts and more lyrics about space. I can see why some Muse fans might feel let down by the softer, less rockmonstery bits, but it’s not like these elements haven’t been part of the band’s sound from the start.

And as a soundtrack song to the Twilight series of films – a series which is all about the reality-crushing pain of troubled love – it’s a perfect fit.

One final thought: there are times when listening to Matt Bellamy sing is similar to watching someone fill a balloon with water. The more time goes by, the more you wonder when he’s gonna explode. The good news is, if he ever DOES, you can bet it’ll be in the most extravagant and astonishing manner possible. The man’s a pro.

In “The Diary of Justin Bieber,” fans got to see what the popstar’s hectic life is like on a daily basis, including behind-the-scenes moments filmed when he wasn’t doing press, signing autographs or performing — those rare moments when Bieber can be just a kid. But we also saw that his fans’ enthusiasm can sometimes get out of control and cause Bieber to have to cancel appearances.

In the show he displayed his French-speaking skills during a radio interview in Paris, where a good portion of the show takes place, and his love of French girls. “I like their accents,” he offered. And Bieber, then 15, admitted that sometimes the French made him feel a bit uncomfortable with their sexually charged line of questions — especially with his mom right next to him.

The special also showed Bieber’s dedication to his fans. At am autograph signing in Paris, despite not feeling well, Bieber forged on in order to make sure he didn’t disappoint his fans despite being given the option to walk away. “It’s weird going to places and seeing girls cry — I’m honored, but why would you cry? You should be happy,” he said.

After his trip to Paris to promote his album My World 2.0, he went to New York City, where he had the chance to let loose and play some sports. “I really truly wanted to beat Ryan and show him I’m not just some singer,” he said about his best friend from Canada who flew in to hang out. “I can still shoot the hoop.”

In New York, Bieber also hit that stage with Sean Kingston for their track “Eenie Meenie” and he reflected on his career thus far, admitting that he hasn’t even started yet. “This has been an incredible experience and an incredible journey,” he shared. “It’s weird to think that this is only the beginning.”

‘Victorious’ Star Victoria Justice Is ‘Luckiest Girl In The World’

“Victorious” is a new show on Nickelodeon about a young lady, Tori Vega, who finds herself smack dab in the middle of the drama that surrounds life at a performing arts high school. Making its premiere after the Kids’ Choice Awards, the show’s star, Victoria Justice, said that getting to star in her own show after playing supporting roles on other Nick shows like “Zoey 101″ and “iCarly” has certainly proved to be a dream come true.

“I just think it’s such an awesome show and the writing is hilarious,” Justice told MTV News on the show’s set. “My whole cast is amazingly talented, so I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

While Justice certainly has a lot of Hollywood experience for someone of her young age, co-star Mark Bennett, who plays Robbie on the show, explained that her character Tori is still trying to figure out who she is as a performer. “[It's] a show for people with dreams,” he said. “It’s a real Cinderella story. She’s trying to integrate herself into the Hollywood society.”

Justice agreed. “She’s kind of figuring out how to express herself, and she loves singing and dancing and acting,” she said. “And then along the way she meets all these other crazy kids that go there.”

So if her character loves singing and dancing, does that mean we will get to see Justice do both on the show? “We have all original music,” she said. “And I think there’s going to be a song every three or four episodes or so.”
