Newsweek’s Oscar Roundtable with Six of 2009’s Best Actors

Newsweek's Oscar Roundtable

Back in December, THR hosted a roundtable interview with the six soon-to-be-nominated Best Directors of 2009 (sadly, Peter Jackson was the one who didn’t make the Oscar cut). Following in suit, Newsweek put together their own big roundtable interview after the Academy Awards nominations were announced. Their new series, called simply Oscar Roundtable 2010, includes one big roundtable interview with these six great actors: Jeff Bridges, Morgan Freeman, Carey Mulligan, Sandra Bullock, Gabourey Sidibe and Woody Harrelson. You can check out one of the video clips below or head over to their site for more. Check ‘em out!

Six actors. One room. A conversation so intimate, we were even invited to tag along for potty breaks. Welcome to Newsweek’s 13th Oscar Roundtable. I don’t know how to view the entire video uncut, but there are a bunch of links to clips on the Newsweek site for this series, though they only link to the one video seen above. There’s also a transcript of the entire thing, but who wants to read? I’m joking, but in all seriousness, I wish they had this as an uncut video from start to finish. All of them look pretty bored at the roundtable in this clip. Maybe they should’ve gotten a more energetic interviewer? What do you guys think of these?

I really enjoyed the clip where Jeff Bridges and Morgan Freeman teased Cary about her toes, and made her open a water bottle with just her toes. Very funny.
