			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Face it, we&#8217;re always hearing about how overweight our society has become and how we should exercise more and eat healthier foods, such as fruits and vegetables, but nobody ever bothers to tell us exactly which healthy foods we should eat or how much of them we should eat.  Thus, the challenge of making the leap to a healthy lifestyle becomes a daunting task before we even attempt it, so it&#8217;s no wonder most of our society is still overweight.<br />
To better help clear up confusion, the following is a list of general healthy foods and their quantities to help you begin eating healthier.<br />
Important Foods for a Healthy Diet #1 Whole grains<br />
In order to make sure you&#8217;re eating enough whole grains in your diet you should eat at least six ounces.  However, you can eat more if you combine your diet with an exercise program.  Foods you can eat which will provide you with whole grain nutrients include cereal, pasta and bread.<br />
Important Foods for a Healthy Diet #2 Vegetables<br />
There&#8217;s really no limit on the amount of vegetables you can eat in a day.  However, you should eat a minimum of two and a half cups everyday.  As far as which ones you should eat goes, you should attempt to mix and match everyday.  Eating a variety of vegetables ensures that you&#8217;re getting a healthy dose of the nutrients that each vegetable type provides.<br />
Important Foods for a Healthy Diet #3 Fruits<br />
Just like vegetables, there is really no limit on the amount of fruit you can eat every day; however, you should eat a minimum of two cups per day.  Again, like vegetables, make sure to mix and match the types of fruit you eat each day in order to fully benefit from the many different nutrients fruit offers.<br />
Important Foods for a Healthy Diet #4 Milk<br />
Drinking milk, combined with a regular workout regimen, has been scientifically proven to help promote weight loss.  You should attempt to drink at least thee cups per day.  However, avoid drinking whole milk and stick to low fat or non fat milk to avoid getting too many calories in your diet.  If milk is not your forte, you can also opt to get your recommended dairy in the form of yogurt.  Again, either low fat or non fat.  Whichever way you choose to get it, just make sure and get it.  Dairy provides a good source of calcium which is important to living a healthy lifestyle.<br />
Follow these guidelines and you will be able to rest comfortably knowing that you&#8217;re eating healthier than the majority of the people in this country.  Be sure to try and avoid foods such as margarine, butter and lard, which you might use for cooking or adding flavor to food.  Eating too much of these can negate the effects you&#8217;r trying to achieve from a healthy lifestyle.<br />
So there you have it, a small blue print for eating healthy.  Don&#8217;t put it off any longer.  Everyday that you do could be a day that you are looking better and adding extra years to your life span. <br/><br/></p>

If you ate nothing except healthy food, you would and may be naturally skinny. No questions asked. Your body truly does require healthy food for perfect performance. The rationale why folks get fat is due to all of the preprocessed food, the junk food, the body not only absorbs all the saturated fats, but as it is starving of nutrients it soaks up absolutely everything.Other reasons would include the fact that you may usually feel better that you would whilst consuming all the bad foods. A lot of folks whinge about always being knackered, knackered, and slow and have the general angle of not being troubled to do anything, this is because they don&#8217;t have the energy and the stomach in digesting all the garbage they are consuming is using any energy they do have.To mention some of the advantages of eating healthy would include loss of fat, an increased level of energy, a more gratifying sleep, more staying power, better skin condition like smoother skin, less acne, lower risk of heart diseases &#038; strokes, fewer visits to the doctor, lower cholesterol, lower risk of cancer, better mental capability and work performance and a general overall better you.That is only some of the explanations I will think of, but it is enough to make me want to eat healthy and take more pride in myself.Simple changes in your diet will make all the difference. You can even eat frozen food that is cheaper. A lot of plants come frozen and still retain their goodness. You will notice a difference as you may naturally be more social and doing the common-or-garden general exercise activates required without even realizing it.Consider growing your own! Herbs add great flavour as well as many associated health benefits, which again, a lot of people don&#8217;t realize. Rather than the usual junky fat food nibbles, try salads and fruit. Having a healthy diet plan, eating foods in all the major food groups will provide your body with the nutrients and minerals needed to keep it fit and functiong effeciently. <br/><br/>Keeping a balance of all the 5 major food groups such as carbohydrate’s, protein, fat and fruit and vegetables is very important as it helps our bodies to remain healthy. If the balance between protein, fat and carbhydrate’s is not right it can lead to serious health problems such as obesity, cancer, and heart disease. <br/><br/>The great thing about having a healthy diet plan is that you do not have to cut out any of your favourite foods and are still entitled to have the odd treat, and if you are on a diet trying to lose weight you will more than likely to stick at it, as you can still enjoy the foods you like. Its just all about getting the balance right. <br/><br/>In addition, it is well to note that a well balanced diet is one that contains all of the five main food groups in just the right proportion in which the individual needs them to build up the body, repair it, and supply it with energy. What this proportion should be cannot be stated offhand, because the quantity and kind of food substances vary individualy with the size, age, and activity of each and every person. <br/><br/></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The importance of a healthy diet is a no-brainer. Of course, you know you SHOULD eat healthy. And if you really think of this topic as a &#8220;SHOULD&#8221; as opposed to a &#8220;WANT TO&#8221; then this perhaps is not the time to approach this issue. Because knowing that you should eat healthy does not motivate you to actually do it. Honestly, who doesn&#8217;t know that they should eat their fruits and veggies?! So, what&#8217;s the real problem here? It&#8217;s that you don&#8217;t actually DO it. <br/><br/>What&#8217;s Your Excuse? <br/><br/>And yes, I know from years of experience working with busy women in the weight loss/fitness industry, what the excuses are. I&#8217;m busy too, and believe me, I do understand, but as your weight loss coach, it&#8217;s my job to inspire you to get results, and negate the excuses. So I warn you now, you can regale me with the minute details of your day from morning til night and I will still tell you point blank: The importance of a healthy diet outweighs the perceived inconvenience of preparing healthy food. If your life is really that crazed, it&#8217;s really all the more reason to place a weighty importance on a healthy diet as it will help your body combat stress and keep your body more fueled with the right kind of energy. <br/><br/>Is Eating Healthy Too Time Consuming? <br/><br/>That&#8217;s the other thing that has many women stuck&#8230;the perception that eating healthy is too time consuming. It&#8217;s easier to hit the drive-thru. Truly, not so. As I mentioned before, you&#8217;ll have more energy by making a nutritious choice. Also, the time spent sitting in the fast food lane could have just as easily been used earlier to pack up a few healthy items. For some examples of a couple meals I had recently that were incredibly easy and satisfying check out (LINK quick weight loss). Apples and carrots are two great foods to easily transport in your purse. Quick and simple to eat on the go, too. <br/><br/>What&#8217;s the Plan? <br/><br/>My husband and I say that to each other a lot. &#8220;What&#8217;s the Plan?&#8221; It works in so many situations. (: Here&#8217;s my advice: You plan for nearly everything else in your life, right? You schedule all the kids activities into your day, you make appointments for your work stuff, etc. So why not plan for meals? After all, you do know perfectly well that at some point you&#8217;ll be hungry. For example, every morning you know that at some time during your hectic day you will (I hope) eat. So why leave it to chance? You could so easily grab an extra bag of apples when you&#8217;re at the store and keep them in your desk. One a day for better health, you know. So couldn&#8217;t you? And yes it would be ideal to have some cashews or other protein with that apple, but hey, an apple is better than a sandwich from Burger King. If you know you&#8217;re going to the kids soccer games twice next week and won&#8217;t have the time to make a meal from scratch, there&#8217;s the crockpot (although I&#8217;ll be honest—I have yet to make anything tasty in there myself!). A crockpot meal will very likely offer more of the benefits of a healthy diet than frozen pizza. Quick side note: We do occasionally have a frozen pizza at our house. Shocking, I know. But what I do is add a bunch of spinach, fresh herbs if I have them, olives, and mushrooms. Cram in those veggies wherever you can. Even in frozen pizza! Another option for the game nights is to just grab those carrots, cashews, apples, celery, whatever and eat right at the game. <br/><br/>Bottom Line <br/><br/>The bottom line to all this talk about the importance of a healthy diet is: keep it simple. Don&#8217;t overcomplicate it. Plenty of quick and easy solutions exist, if you will just attempt to be prepared. And don&#8217;t forget the benefits of a healthy diet will be yours only if you are CONSISTENTLY partaking in it. <br/><br/></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are a lot of healthy diets for Weight loss out there.  Finding the right one that works for you is the tricky part. With spring being right around the corner, everyone is getting ready for beach weather. You know what that means &#8211; swimsuits! I don&#8217;t know about you, but I don&#8217;t even want to think about that. While we want to lose a little weight, most people don&#8217;t know how to go about it.<br />
What would you say is the hardest part of losing weight? I used to think it was exercise, but choosing the right kind of  foods to eat is even harder. Why? Well because when  you start to exercise, the body takes care of itself. The muscles get a workout and they in turn start to grow and reshape themselves.<br />
Now with food, it is a totally different story. You know the saying you are what you eat,it couldn&#8217;t be more true.  Making poor food choices can set us back with our fitness goals. It&#8217;s frustrating when you have to constantly worry about what you are eating. Each bite can be distressing. Just remember there are a lot of healthy diets for weight loss out there to be discovered.<br />
Just remember, and commit this to memory, food is not the enemy. No food in and of itself is bad.  Just control your portions, that is the key. If you can achieve that, you can eat and enjoy any food and not gain weight.  Everything in moderation. For most foods, there are substitutions you can make for a healthier meal.<br />
It&#8217;s essential to get familiar with the basics of food, if we do this we can choose foods that will be healthier for us to eat. Let&#8217;s talk about carbohydrates. The media would have us believe there are good carbs and bad carbs. In reality, there are carbs that are digested more efficiently by your body and those that are not. A combination of the two will help us throughout the day and we need them just the same to be healthy.<br />
There are simple carbohydrates that are digested quickly. Things like candy bars, cookies and cakes hit the blood stream really quick which in turn gives us a big burst of energy after we eat them.  But then we crash and burn an hour later. With complex carbohydrates, the body takes longer to break them down so their energy is released throughout the day to keep our blood sugar steady. These include fiber-rich foods, whole grains, bran, and other grains.<br />
You can find protein in meats, fish, and legumes. When buying meat always choose extra lean, no more than 7% fat, 4% if you can find it, your body will thank you.  Beans are also great if you want a good substitute for eating animal protein. They are high in protein and low in fat and cholesterol. Make a salsa with fresh tomatoes and black beans. Make some hummus with garbanzo beans, cilantro, olive oil and lemon. Protein fuels the muscles and other cellular functions in the body.<br />
Then there is fat. I can&#8217;t say much about that. Fatty things tastes good. That&#8217;s why we like it so much. Unfortunately, it also fills those fat stores in our body. Did you know that there is no limit to the amount of fat that can fit into those cells? For that reason alone, we need to learn how food works so we can keep our weight under control.<br />
Just remember there are a lot of healthy diets for weight loss plans out there.  Use the information here to help you choose foods that will assist you in losing weight or maintain that weight loss and live a longer and happier life. <br/><br/></p>
